Aquafil Group unveils sustainable yarns

Aquafil Group, the innovator behind ECONYL® regenerated nylon, has launched the ECONYL® Bespoke Collection, a new line of sustainable yarns that mimic the aesthetics of natural materials. This tailored portfolio includes a wide range of textures and finishes, available in both solution-dyed and dyed regenerated nylon 6. It is designed to meet the stringent performance requirements of contract, hospitality, and residential settings.

The ECONYL Bespoke Collection supports diverse applications, from handmade and machine-made rugs to tufted and woven styles, as well as residential and commercial wall-to-wall carpets. “We are excited to bring a new collection of ECONYL nylon finishes to our global customer base,” said Giulio Bonazzi, Chairman and CEO of Aquafil Group. “Our team’s innovation showcases the versatility of ECONYL, catering to the demand for luxury, sustainable materials.”

To cater to the needs of the growing market, Aquafil has bolstered its presence in India, a leading global rug supplier, by locally stocking ECONYL Bespoke finishes. The company ensures authenticity and quality through comprehensive traceability and certification measures, safeguarding each step of the production process.

Made from 100% pre- and post-consumer nylon waste, ECONYL yarn is both recycled and infinitely regenerable. It maintains the visual appeal of natural materials while offering superior performance attributes, such as durability and sustainability. ECONYL meets key environmental and safety standards, including certifications from OekoTex and Cradle to Cradle (C2C). It also contributes to sustainability frameworks like LEED v4, BREEAM, and WELL, making it an ideal choice for environmentally conscious carpet and rug manufacturers.
