ApparelTech sees improvements with Coats Digital’s FastReactPlan solution

Coats Digital shared that a major outdoor clothing maker from South Korea, ApparelTech Co. Ltd., has seen great progress after using Coats Digital’s FastReactPlan solution.

After starting to use FastReactPlan, the company found that their productivity increased by 9% every year. They also become better at delivering their products on time, improving by 7% in that area.

With the help of FastReactPlan, the company could gather all their planning and scheduling information from various sources into a cohesive and visually comprehensive system.

Before using FastReactPlan, ApparelTech had difficulties because their production planning process was not automated, and they couldn’t see what was happening in real-time. This made it hard to share information between different parts of the company and also made it tough to make plans for how much they could make. They had to spend a lot of time and effort to make plans using old information that wasn’t very reliable.

These processes took a lot of time, were complicated, used different tools, and didn’t give them the accurate information they needed to make good decisions about how much to produce.

Jay Jung, Factory Managing Director, ApparelTech Co. Ltd., said, “As our product history and planning data was actioned and stored across many different departmental locations, it was not only difficult to find and collect specific product data, it was also exceptionally time-consuming to confirm product information, draw up production schedules and quickly confirm quotes and timings to customers. We also had no clear visibility to fully understand the production status of our 54 sewing lines, which meant a lot of unnecessary time was also spent trying to identify the status and availability of each production line in turn.”

After using FastReactPlan, ApparelTech’s planning and scheduling teams now have one place where they can see real-time information. This helps everyone understand which production lines are free and what each line can do, including its strengths and limitations.

J.W. Kim, CEO, ApparelTech Co. Ltd., mentioned, “FastReactPlan has surpassed all our expectations,” adding, “The automation of all our planning processes has also freed up time for staff to focus on other business-enhancing activities, such as supporting continuous improvement programmes, which have also helped to accelerate our business growth plans.”
