Anthropologie teams up with One Tree Planted to aid reforestation

In celebration of Earth Month, Anthropologie, the American clothing retailer, is teaming up with Brazilian clothing and lifestyle company Farm Rio to plant trees through One Tree Planted.

Anthropologie will donate 25,000 trees to One Tree Planted, an environmental nonprofit that aids reforestation efforts around the world, as part of Farm Rio’s 1,000 Trees A Day initiative. The nonprofit has planted 4 million trees in the last two years thanks to donations from socially conscious individuals and companies like Anthropologie.

Anthropologie’s chief merchandising officer, Anu Narayanan said that they’ve been so motivated by their friends at Farm Rio’s important work over the last 23 years that they’re thrilled to be partnering with them to help One Tree Planted reforestation efforts in Brazil.

Aside from their collaboration with One Tree Planted, Anthropologie will release a new capsule with Farm Rio, featuring bold silhouettes, feminine details, bright colors, and some of the brand’s signature prints.

Starting from April 8, all online shoppers who spend more than $175 on apparel will receive an exclusively made, limited edition, reusable tote.

One Tree Planted canopy director, Diana Chaplin said that when they heard from the team at Anthropologie about their involvement in working with Farm Rio’s One Tree Planted initiative, they were delighted.

She adds that their brands share the belief that everyone can make a difference and that the first step is to raise awareness using your voice, network, and culture. They are extremely grateful for their support, and undoubtedly believe that with Anthropologie’s influence, as well as their dedication to the program and devoted audience, interest in their cause will continue to grow throughout the year.

Since 2017, Farm Rio and Anthropologie have been partners when Anthropologie became the first national retailer to introduce the Farm Rio brand in the United States.
