Ambercycle x Shenghong
Ambercycle and Shenghong Holding Group have announced a strategic collaboration to enhance the production of regenerated filament yarns made with cycora material. This partnership integrates cycora into China’s value chain, addressing the growing global need for circular solutions in the apparel sector.
Since 2024, Ambercycle and Shenghong have been working together to create high-quality regenerated filament yarns using cycora material. “As the industry embraces textile-to-textile recycling, cycora is setting the standard for materials that meet the expectations of global brands,” said Jason Tang, general manager of Shenghong Chemical Fiber New Material. “This partnership is critical in bringing scalable and impactful change to the apparel industry.” This collaboration accelerates the transition to a circular model where waste is transformed into a valuable resource.
Shay Sethi, co-founder and CEO of Ambercycle, shared: “Our partnership with Shenghong highlights our common goal of achieving a circular future. Shenghong’s advanced manufacturing capabilities ensure that cycora can be efficiently incorporated into the supply chains of leading global brands. Together, we are not just increasing production but also driving the widespread use of circular materials at a scale necessary to meet rising demand.”
With Shenghong’s expertise in yarn manufacturing and Ambercycle’s knowledge of circular materials, this collaboration is well-positioned to expand the production of textile-to-textile filament yarns for worldwide use. Shenghong, already recognized as a leading producer of recycled polyester from bottles, is now advancing sustainability in the apparel sector by introducing cycora® as a textile-to-textile solution.
