Ambercycle, a leader in material science innovation, has teamed up with sustainable fashion brand Reformation to launch cycora® material in key pieces of Reformation's latest apparel collection. This marks the beginning of a long-term partnership aimed at bringing innovative, sustainable, and circular solutions to the fashion industry.
Kathleen Talbot, Chief Sustainability Officer at Reformation, shared the brand's ambitious goal of becoming fully circular by 2030. She emphasized the importance of using minimal virgin materials, reducing waste, and prolonging the life of fashion items. cycora plays a key role in achieving this, as it helps brands like Reformation bring closed-loop garments to the market, reducing reliance on fossil fuel-derived synthetics like polyester.
Reformation's new collection, which features evening gowns and separates inspired by 1920s Paris, integrates cycora polyester — a high-performance material made from discarded textiles. cycora offers superior durability, allowing textiles to be regenerated multiple times without quality loss. Shay Sethi, CEO of Ambercycle, expressed excitement about collaborating with Reformation to further circularity in fashion and transform how materials are sourced, used, and reused.
