Amazon India partners with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) – South Zone to help entrepreneurs who are currently manufacturing, retailing and exporting products. It will educate them on the available digital media opportunities, brand building, documentation, listing methodology, as well as Amazon services.
In addition to the already mentioned benefits that this partnership offers, Amazon will also offer guidance on the type of deals sellers can offer, the kind of advertisements they can run on these platforms and how they can employ social media channels to increase the brand awareness on e-commerce platforms and inform potential customers about them.
Amazon see immense potential in the country and look forward to enabling thousands of FIEO members to expand their business through our Global Selling Programme.
This is speculated to have great benefits as FIEO is currently the country’s highest point of export promotions.
This is expected to include categories such as home textiles, kitchen linen, leather accessories, leather shoes, apparel, home decor products, incense and essential oils among others.
According to Amazon India Head of Global Selling Abhijit Kamra, their partnership with FIEO will help Indian exporters take their ‘Made in India’ products to millions of active customers across the globe.
Kamra added that seeing how over 20,000 sellers from India alone currently sell over 45 million products through 10 global Amazon marketplaces, it is quite obvious why Amazon India is enthusiastically pursuing this partnership deal.
According to Amazon India, South India has seen an almost 100% increase when it comes to the number of global sellers in the last couple of years.
Starting with the textile hub of Coimbatore, these workshops will be held in Chennai, Karur, Bengaluru, Madurai, Vijayawada, Tirupur, Nilgiris District, Hyderabad and Kochi over the next two months.
