Akinal Sentetik, Turkish company starts up neXline wetlace production line

Akinal Sentetik Tekstil, the leading Turkish nonwovens producer starts up neXline wetlace line with Andritz Nonwoven, part of international technology Group Andritz.

The Andritz neXline wetlace is designed for high production capacities of up to 15,000 tonnes per year and integrates stock preparation, wet forming, hydroentanglement, and drying. The Andritz Wetlace technology is said to fulfil the highest environmental standards for the end products and produces certified nonwovens quality according to the latest EDANA/INDA guidelines for flushable wipes.

The highly flexible Andritz Wetlace technology, which combines wet forming and hydroentanglement, is especially suited for the production of flushable wipes that are dispersible and 100% biodegradable without any chemical binders, the company explained.

Akinal Sentetik Tekstil is about to launch a new generation of flushable fabrics named BioFlush, which are dispersible and biodegradable, and is thus accessing new markets.

This successful start-up confirms Andritz Nonwoven’s position as one of the global market leaders for the supply of complete nonwovens lines, key components, and services.

Andritz is a leading supplier of plants, equipment, and services for hydropower stations, the pulp and paper industry, the metalworking and steel industries, and for solid/liquid separation in the municipal and industrial sectors as well as for animal feed and biomass pelleting.

In addition, the international Group is also active in the power generating sector (steam boiler plants, biomass boilers, recovery boilers, and gasification plants) and in environmental technology (flue gas cleaning plants) and offers equipment for the production of nonwovens, dissolving pulp, and panelboard, as well as recycling plants.

Andritz is headquartered in Graz, Austria, having a staff of around 25,500 employees operating in over 250 sites worldwide.
