Ahlstrom has been selected as a finalist in the IDEA 2025 Awards in the Nonwoven Product category for its BioProtect laundry care solution. This biodegradable and biobased product, developed over years of research, is made from cellulosic fibers combined with OrganoClick’s OC-BioBinder.

BioProtect is designed to prevent color bleeding during laundry, ensuring clothes remain vibrant. It is certified biobased, biodegradable according to ISO14855-1, and home compostable. Manufactured using wetlaid technology, it delivers high performance with excellent dye-catching properties, strong wet strength, and superior absorption.
