Aeropostale is primarily an American mall-based specialty retailer of casual apparel and accessories targeting young women and men through its brand known for its jeans, hoodies and t-shirts. It now aims to have approximately 30 standalone stores and 25 shop-in-shop locations in the next three years for which it has collaborated with Textile major, Arvind Group firm Arvind Lifestyle to launch its first flagship store in capital of India.

Arvind Lifestyle MD and CEO J Suresh said that India is expected to become the world's youngest emerging economy by 2020, with around 64 percent of its population in the working age group. Having understood this, they are glad to add power players like Aeropostale as additions to their already fast growing fashion portfolio.

Aeropostale will offer a wide range of clothing and accessories from their Fall-Winter 2015 collection for boys and girls. This young consuming class has new aspirations and is more open to experimenting with fashion brands.

The company operates 773 Aéropostale stores in the U.S. (spanning all 50 states and Puerto Rico) and about 61 stores in Canada. Aéropostale maintains control over its proprietary brands by designing, sourcing, marketing and selling all of its own merchandise.
