The Adidas TERREX HS1 hoodie will be available in stores four months after the company announced its first product made of SPINNOVA®. The mid-layer hiking hoodie is created in part using Spinnova technology, with at least 30% of the fabric made from wood-based SPINNOVA® fiber. The hoodie will be available online and at select retail shops beginning July 15th.

The unisex mid-layer is multifunctional: it works on the trails and folds up into its hood for convenient storage or even as a travel cushion, and it was created to accommodate a wide range of sizes, genders, and shapes. The Adidas TERREX HS1 complements the natural hue of the cloth. Because no dying or bleaching is used, this procedure consumes less water than the standard dyeing process.

Spinnova's first commercial-scale production in Finland is planned to be finished by the end of this year. Spinnova, in collaboration with its investor and joint venture partner Suzano, plans to develop its worldwide production to one million tonnes of sustainable fiber annually over the next 10-12 years, offering global fashion designers and retailers flexible and sustainable fiber at scale.
