French ready-to-wear brand, Atelier de Production et de Création, or A.P.C., has announced the launch of a new packaging initiative, which will include new recyclable polyester tote bags and pouches.

A.P.C. has designed a new packaging solution in order to decrease its environmental effect on the world, with the tagline "Recycled, reuse, recycle, it's yours."

It will include two sizes of tote bags and three different pouches, with a lower environmental effect than the typical single-use kraft bags. The new packaging is manufactured using recycled plastic bottles and is composed of rPET, or recycled and recyclable polyester.

The cotton totes, which were originally created to use up scraps of fabric, are now a staple of A.P.C.'s collections. For 2021, the packaging will be available in blue or red stripes.

The profits generated from the new packaging, which is priced at £1/$1, will be donated to The Goodplanet Foundation. Yann Arthus-Bertrand founded the organization in 2005 with the goal of making ecological and humanity a priority.
