Viscose yarn prices steady in China, India

In China, offers for ring?spun 30s yarn were up US cent 1 a kg in the last week of November, while compact siro?spun 40s yarn moved up US cents 3 a kg.

Spun viscose yarn prices were largely stable in China and India, but moderated in Pakistan as raw material cost continued to trickle down. In China, offers for ring?spun 30s and rotor?spun 30s yarn rolled over while liquidity was just modest.

In India, viscose yarn prices were notionally rolled over as trade was adversely impacted by the demonetisation process which is expected to reduce economic growth and is negatively affecting the value of the rupee.

In Pakistan, viscose spun prices continued to slide given the continuous decline in VSF prices in past weeks. 35s viscose yarn prices fell US cents 4 a kg while 40s rolled over in Karachi market.
