Viscose yarn price declines in China

In China, mainstream prices of 40s compact siro-spun yarn in Jiangsu fell US cents 9 a kg in the last week of November while 30s spun viscose in Xiaoshan edged down US cent 1 a kg.

Viscose spun yarn prices softened in China on lower cost. Cashmere-like yarn, which was salable in the third week, faced poor liquidity given widespread shutdowns of downstream printing and dyeing mills.

Prices for Xiaoshan-origin ring-spun 30s yarn fell, while offers for rotor-spun 30s yarn were flat on the week.

In Pakistan, with VSF prices holding firm, support viscose yarn makers who pegged prices at third week’s numbers.

In India, spun viscose yarn prices rolled over on the back of bearish VSF sentiment, so mills showed stronger selling interest.
