In China, 30s spun viscose yarn prices fell US cents 2 a kg in Xiaoshan in the second week of October while 40s compact sirospun yarn prices in Jiangsu were down US cents 3 a kg on the week.
Ring-spun viscose yarn prices dropped in China as cost obviously eased over the past couple of week, with VSF prices now in the range of US$2.45-2.55 a kg while viscose yarn over US$3 per kg. Offers for Xiaoshan-origin 30s yarn dropped as buyers talked prices down.
In India, viscose yarn prices rolled over on firmer and steady VSF values, although demand was hard to pick up.
In Pakistan, VSF price continued rising in line with the firm import offers from China, supporting viscose yarn prices to jump that week. Over the month VSF prices gained 2.5% while the rise in yarn prices were less than 2% giving ample room for further rise. 35s viscose yarn prices gained PakRs3 per pound (up US cents 6 a kg) while 40s jumped similarly in Karachi market.
