In Jiangsu, 40s compact sirospun yarn prices fell US cents 4 a kg in the last week of June while 30s spun viscose in Xiaoshan was down US cents 3 a kg.
Spun viscose yarn markets were generally stable and calm in China, but sale/production ratio remained soft and liquidity lagged. Prices for siro?spun 40s yarn were down owing to softening of VSF markets for the past few weeks. In Fuji, siro-spun rayon yarn prices were largely stable, but firm orders remained weak.
In India, viscose yarn prices inched up given the demand from export market and firmness in raw material VSF prices. 30s viscose spun yarn prices inched up by another INR1 a kg (up US cent 1 on the week) in Indore market.
In Pakistan, finer count viscose yarn prices moderated a bit that week taking the total fall in June to PakRs3 or 2%. 35s and 40s viscose yarn prices were both down US cents 2 a kg in Karachi market.
