In Shengze, offers for 32s polyester yarn were down US cents 2 a kg, and 45s were stable in the last week of March. In Qiangqing, offers for 32s remained unchanged during the week.
Offers for spun polyester yarns in China weakened slightly amid flat downstream demand. 45s saw better sales among other specs.
Prices retreated in line with PSF values, with limited demand appearing as fabric producers purchased lesser polyester yarn while producers were cautious to buy PSF and mainly booked goods in small batches and at low prices. Traders just replenished goods according to the sales situation.
In Pakistan, 30s spun polyester prices were up PakRs3 per pound (up US cents 5 a kg on the week). With PSF prices rapidly rising in Pakistan after the imports offer from China rebounded, yarn prices were pushed up. However, lack of demand persisted, which was reflected smaller rise.
In India, polyester yarn prices remained relatively stable to firm on the week. Polyester yarn 30 knit yarn prices rolled over in Ludhiana market while they rose US cent 1 a kg in Indore.
