Polyester yarn prices continue to rise in China, stable in India

In China, offers for 32s polyester yarn in Shengze were up US cents 5 a kg in the third week of January. Spun polyester yarn offers in China continued the uptrend that week in tandem with firming up polyester staple fibre cost. Market saw modest demand and sales were passable during the week.

In India, spun polyester yarn prices stopped falling and were assessed stable during the week. Prices were supported by firm PSF cost and decent demand.

In Pakistan, polyester yarn prices rolled over during the week and might see an uptrend soon in line with the recent surge in polyester staple fibre cost.
