In Shengze, offers for 32s polyester yarn were up US cents 3 a kg in the first week of March, and 45s were raised US cents 3 a kg. In Changyi, offers for 32s were up US cents 2 a kg.
Spun polyester yarns offers in China were hiked and some bulk deals were concluded. Polyester yarn offers were driven up by rising PSF prices. Producers showed higher interest in replenishing PSF inventories driven by rising prices.
In Pakistan, polyester was increasingly becoming cheaper than cotton due to the sharp fall of cotton production having supported prices. Thus, polyester yarn makers were enjoying good margin, since polyester yarn prices remained stable. 30s spun polyester prices rolled over on the week.
In India, polyester yarn 30 knit yarn prices were up US cents 2 a kg (due to strong INR) in Ludhiana market while they inched up US cents 3 a kg in Indore.
Polyester yarn prices have remained stable to firm in India during the week, with prices even slightly rising in Indore market. Further, stronger INR have pegged prices up in US$ terms.
