In Shengze, offers for 32s polyester yarn fell US cents 2 a kg in the second week of August, and 45s were down US cents 2 a kg on the week. In Qiangqing, 32s weaving also fell US cents 2 a kg during the week.

Spun polyester yarn offers in China were lowered somewhat, and the sale was lackluster as a whole. 32s spun polyester yarn was mainly offered down US cents 2 a kg in Qiangqing and Shengze markets. Mainstream offers for 45s were down but saw higher sales volume.

Prices of spun polyester yarn weakened in line with PSF values amid thin sales sentiment, and producers only purchased raw material to meet rigid demand. The demand for yarn can hardly change in coming weeks as some units will be shut down for G20 summit.

In India, polyester yarn 30 knit yarn prices gained INR5 a kg (up US cents 7) in Ludhiana market and were stable in Indore.

Polyester yarn prices rolled over in Pakistan.
