Polyester price moves up in India, stable in China

In India, polyester yarn 30 knit yarn prices regained INR1 a kg in the fourth week of June in Ludhiana market while they rolled over in Indore. Polyester yarn prices inched up in Ludhiana markets while they rolled over in Indore, reflecting regional demand/supply balance.

In Shengze, offers for 32s polyester yarn rolled over on the week and 45s were steady. In Qiangqing, 32s weaving were stable during the week. Spun polyester yarns offer were stable amid thin transaction in China and limited sales concluded. Spinners showed low interest to buy PSF and only purchased small volumes seeing rigid end-use demand, due to limited fresh orders and tight liquidity.

In Pakistan, polyester yarn prices remained unchanged in absence of clear market direction as PSF prices were stuck at previous week’s level after global crude oil prices retreated on the week. 30s spun polyester prices rolled over while 60s were down PakRs3 per pound.
