Polyester chain (ethylene, PTA, MEG, PET chips, PSF, PFY) prices in Asia rose in the week ended 5th July 2019 on healthy trading activity, despite slightly weaker upstream crude oil prices. However, polyester feedstock, paraxylene markets declined amid expanding capacities and soft demand.
Nylon or polyamide markets in Asia surged on limited availability and picking up buying sentiment during the week. Demand from the downstream plants improved this week.
