Nylon yarn prices steady after recent falls

In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F was pegged stable at US$2.38-2.44 a kg while FDY40D were at US$2.58-2.74 a kg in the first week of December.

Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices were also stable at US$2.58-2.79 a kg.

Monofilament 30D fell US cents 3 a kg and 1.5D staple fiber were up at US$2.51-2.58 a kg.

Nylon filament yarn markets saw moderated losses and prices range bound on the back of cost pressure and better sentiment.

On the back of increased offtake, supply-demand fundamental was modest. Nylon-6 FDY market prices were range bound amid moderate demand and flat raw materials. Prices hike met with resistance.

Nylon POY prices stopped incurring losses amid tepid demand while nylon DTY prices were range bound amid flat raw materials and moderate demand from downstream.

Although makers were facing losses, room for price hike was limited.
