In China, FDY70D/24F SD prices were stable in the last week of January while FDY40D were flat at on the week. DTY 70D/24F prices rolled over while 30D/10F were steady during the week. Monofilament 30D prices remained unchanged on the week.
Nylon filament yarn makers had trimmed operation as demand slowed down due to Lunar New Year holidays in China while prices remained unchanged on the week. Nylon yarn producers had hiked offers last week to relieve cost pressure.
Demand remained lusterless and converters cut production. Warp?knitting, weaving and AJ covering sectors operated at lower rate of 30%. Meanwhile, circular?knitting mills and lacing mills also trimmed operating rate to 10%. In non?textile sectors, fishing?net yarn, monofilament, staple fiber and cord fabric markets saw weak demand.
