In China, FDY70D/24F SD prices surged US cents 9 a kg in the third week of February, while FDY40D were up US cents 9-17 a kg on the week.
DTY 70D/24F prices rose US cents 14 a kg on the week and 30D/10F were up US cents 14-17 a kg on the week. Monofilament 30D prices were up US cents 17 a kg on the week.
Nylon yarn producers in China further hiked offers to ease cost pressure arising from surging caprolactum and nylon chip cost. Downstream converters returned to the market and made more buying.
Warp?knitting, weaving and AJ covering sectors witnessed smooth sales and operated at 70% of full capacity while, circular?knitting mills and lacing mills ran at 50%, implying modest demand for nylon yarn. In non?textile sector, fishing?net yarn, monofilament, staple fiber and cord fabric markets saw recovering demand.
