In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices were down US cents 2-4 a kg while FDY40D were down US cents 3 a kg (due to weak Yuan).
Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices fell US cents 6 a kg. DTY 30D/10F prices rolled on the week.
Monofilament 30D prices were stable while 1.5D staple fiber declined US cents 4 a kg on the week.
Nylon filament yarn markets in Asia continued to trend in weakness on falling operating pressure due to softening of caprolactum and semi-dull nylon chip prices.
Produces trimmed operating rate resulting from anemic demand and to top that, they operated at breakeven and faced supply glut, opening doors to poor confidence. Thus, it is expected that run rates of nylon yarn makers will be down.
In case of non-textile yarn sectors, run rate will on average. Fishing-net yarn and monofilament makers saw meager margins while cord fabric makers struggled to make ends meet.
Staple fiber makers enjoyed favorable margins and ran at modest rates.
