In China, FDY70D/24F SD prices sobered US cents 4 a kg in the third week of May, while FDY40D fell US cent 1 a kg on the week. DTY 70D/24F prices were flat and 30D/10F were stable on the week. Monofilament 30D prices were steady while nylon staple fiber 1.5D prices rolled over on the week.
Nylon filament yarn prices made supplementary fall on low cost pressure and cautious buying sentiment. Demand was stable operation implying moderate buying interest. Warp?knitting, weaving and AJ covering sectors operated at 75% capacity while circular?knitting mills and lacing mills ran at 50% capacities, implying modest demand for nylon yarn.
In non?textile sectors, fishing?net yarn, monofilament, staple fiber and cord fabric makers replenished at current low price levels due to lean inventory. Overall, nylon yarn markets are expected to remain stable or even bounce given the upbeat upstream and improved fundamentals.
