In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices rolled over at US$2.14-2.22 a kg in the last week of February while FDY40D were at US$2.30-2.53 a kg.
Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices fell US cents 2 a kg while 30D/10F prices were stable on the week.
Monofilament 30D prices rolled over at US$2.37-2.60 a kg while 1.5D staple fiber was stable at US$1.99-2.14 a kg.
Nylon filament yarn prices were range bound on cost pressure on recovering caprolactum and firmer semi-dull nylon chips, but any hike met with resistance due to low offtake. Nylon-6 FDY saw improved demand and prices held stable.
With stable raw materials, POY prices were range-bound with slow liquidity. Nylon-6 DTY prices moved sideways amid better demand.
Prices for cord fabric were stable while demand from tire sector improved. Monofilament yarn makers could make meager profits.
Staple fiber makers suffered eroded profits owing to thin demand on rapid capacity expansions.
