Nylon yarn price rolls over in Asia

In China, FDY70D/24F SD prices were stable in the first week of February while FDY40D were flat on the week. DTY 70D/24F prices rolled over while 30D/10F were steady on the week.

Monofilament 30D prices remained unchanged during the week while nylon staple fiber 1.5D prices were pegged stable on the week
Nylon filament yarn markets turned stable to firm on the back of high-priced nylon chips. With breakeven operation, nylon yarn markets are likely to make supplementary hike in the short run.

Run rate was at 46%, with majors operating at 50-60% of full capacity while small-sized makers ran at low rate. In the meanwhile, buying interest was mute right after the Spring Festival.

Warp-knitting and weaving sectors operated at a low 200% rate while, circular-knitting mills and lacing mills were at 10% capacities.
