In China, FDY70D/24F SD prices declined US cents 15 a kg in the last week of March, while FDY40D fell US cents 7-15 a kg on the week. DTY 70D/24F prices also fell US cents 14 a kg while 30D/10F was down US cents 7-14 a kg on the week.
Nylon filament yarn prices declined slowly on relieved cost pressure as nylon chip and caprolactum prices remained range bound in weakness that week. Downstream converters maintained cautious operation as customers were cautious of following up on the back of flat raw materials and buy?rise mentality. In April, demand is expected to warm up following inventory digestion.
Warp?knitting, weaving and AJ covering sectors operated stably 70?80% while, circular?knitting mills and lacing mills ran at 40?50%, implying modest demand for nylon yarn. Looking forward, nylon yarn prices will edge down in the and stabilize by mid-April when demand is expected to improve and feedstock may bounce back.
