In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices edged down US cent 1 a kg in the fourth week of September while FDY40D were stable.
Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices rolled over while DTY 30D/10F was down US cents 1 on the week.
Monofilament 30D was stable and 1.5D staple fiber was up US cents 7 a kg.
Nylon yarn prices stabilized during the week on increased operating pressure due to higher prices of caprolactum and nylon chips.
Moreover, industrial yarn prices were also range bound. However, limited order intake and lackluster demand restrained prices to rise.
In non-textile sectors, demand for staple fiber was tolerable, while for fishing-net yarn, monofilament and cord fabric was modest. The current increased market production and slow liquidity contributed to limited decrease in inventory level and there were no ideas to raise prices at producers level.
