Nylon yarn price edges down in China

In the last week of November, prices of semi-dull FDY70D/24F in China were down US cents 7 a kg while FDY40D fell US cents 4-8 a kg.

Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices also fell US cents 4 a kg on the week while DTY 30D/10F were down US cents 8 a kg.

Monofilament 30D was down US cents 6 a kg and 1.5D staple fiber were up US cents 2 a kg.

Nylon filament yarn prices edged down citing decreased operating pressure on range-bound caprolactum and softening nylon chip prices.

Nylon yarn makers’ confidence improved with demand and to top it, raw materials receded relieving cost pressure.

Demand for NFY saw little improvement due to favorable performance in hosiery, underwear and weaving and warp-knitting sectors.

Moreover, nylon-6 DTY was supported by rigid demand. Demand for staple fiber was brisk, while that for fishing-net yarn, monofilament and cord fabric was stable.
