Nylon yarn price declines on input cost pressure

In China, FDY70D/24F SD prices fell US cents 4 a kg in the second week of October while FDY40D fell US cents 9 a kg on the week. DTY 70D/24F prices moderated US cents 4 a kg while 30D/10F were stable on the week. Monofilament 30D prices were flat while nylon staple fiber 1.5D prices were range bound during the week.

Nylon filament yarn markets succumbed to pressure of easing operational cost on the back of weaker nylon chip and caprolactum prices. Prices inch down with breakeven operation while makers increased production, working against supporting the market up. However, supply/demand fundamentals were moderate with some procurement from the downstream.

Warp?knitting, weaving and AJ covering sector witnessed smooth liquidity while, circular? knitting mills and lacing mills ran low capacity.
