In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices were up US cents 2 a kg in the second week of October while FDY40D were steady.
Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices rolled over and DTY 30D/10F remained unchanged.
Monofilament 30D was up US cents 9 a kg and 1.5D staple fiber edged down US cent 1 a kg.
Nylon filament yarn prices saw rises on existing losses while non-textile yarn prices remained range bound due to high operating cost on stable prices of caprolactum and nylon chips.
Low-end goods were less available. Demand was weak due to limited order intake and lackluster demand restrained calls for higher prices on cautious sentiment.
Although the slight recovering raw materials contributed to enhancing confidence to purchase, response was insipid post holiday in China and overall demand still needs improvement.
Demand for staple fiber was tolerable, while for fishing-net yarn, monofilament and cord fabric was modest.
