Nylon filament yarn markets continued to remain under inventory pressure limiting any price hike despite cost on caprolactum and nylon chips were rising. Yarn makers had ramped up operating rate amid slow rising demand.
In non-textile yarn sectors, cord fabric makers were struggling to make two ends meet and as a result, run rate was capped at low level. Downstream circular-knitting mills, weaving mills and covering mills were operating at just above half capacity while warp-knitting mills were running over 80%.
