Asian caprolactum prices were up US$10 a ton SE and FE in the last week of November. In China, spot offers for liquid goods surged US$100 a ton while solid good offers were stable on the week.
Caprolactum prices remained steady to firm amid tight availability in Asian markets. Producers hiked offers for liquid goods in East China. Mainstream values for East European goods were also firm.
In contracts, Fibrant raised CPL nomination for December by US$100 a ton for liquid, AA grade, good while Haili Group raised liquid caprolactam offer by US$40. Fibrant caprolactam production was halted at Augusta, Georgia plant but it will continue to be ship from inventory to customers until the end of the year.
In Europe, November caprolactam contract price settled at a rollover from October, following the price trend of the downstream nylon 6 market.
