In China, liquid good offers were down US$85 a ton in the last week of April while solid goods offers fell US$25 a ton.
Asian markers, the SE and FE markers rolled over on the week. Fibrant announced April settlement which was down US$30 a ton from nomination for liquid goods.
Caprolactam prices fell in China that week on soft demand and despite recovering raw materials. Offers for liquid goods fell 5% on the week while mainstream values for solid goods were down 2%. Mainstream values for East European goods stood flat on the week.
Downstream demand was modest as run rates of polymerization units were steady with inventory level up to 7 days’ worth. Yarn makers were also running stable but with high inventory.
