The SE and FE Asian caprolactum markers were up US$20 a ton at lower end in the last week of June. Caprolactum prices firmed up in Asian markets at the lower end of the price range as producers cut their run rate. Benzene markets were range?bound supporting caprolactum to stay firm.
In China, spot liquid good offers rose US$60 a ton on the week while solid goods were similarly up during the week. Liquid goods prices were raised seeing both Sinopec and Fibrant hiking their June settlement and July nominations. Demand was modest with polymerization units and yarn makers running at steady rate.
In Europe, June price talks continued into last days of the month, with decreases of up to Euro 40 a ton targeted depending on starting point.
