Asian markers, the SE and FE markers gained US$20 a ton in the third week of April. In China, liquid good offers rolled over while solid goods offers were stable on the week.
Sinopec announced April settlement which was down US$15 a ton from its nomination for liquid goods.
Caprolactum prices moved sideways that week on decent demand and recovering feedstock. In China, liquid good offers in spot market were quoted at a roll over while mainstream values for solid goods were unchanged from last week. However, offers were sparse in SE and NE Asian markets but spot went up on the week.
Mainstream values for East European goods also gained, with offers mostly flat. Downstream, run rates at polymerization units were up and inventory was 6 days’ worth. Yarn makers were running close to 80% with inventory up at 27 days’ worth.
