In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices were up US cents 5 a kg in the second week of February while 45s PC combed yarn prices were up US cents 2 a kg on the week.
In China, blended yarn prices were up back from New Year holidays. With PSF and VSF prices surging PC and PV yarn prices remained firm, although there was no change in cotton prices.
In Pakistan, PSF prices continued to increase while cotton prices surged and VSF prices expected to increase. Price offers for poly-cotton and poly-viscose yarns have also similarly been raised for all counts in the week. 20s PC (52/48) carded yarn prices were up US cents 6 a kg on the Faisalabad market while 30s gained US cents 8 a kg on the week. PV 30s yarn prices gained US cent 1 a kg on the week.
In India, blended spun yarn prices have increased in certain markets in the weeks with cotton and PSF prices on the rise. Poly-cotton prices have been raised in Ludhiana. However, demonetization process has curbed demand, forcing textile producers to reduce their margins. 30s (65/35) PV warp yarns prices were up US cents 3 a kg due to weak US$ while PC 30s (52/48) prices in Ludhiana edged down INR1 a kg (up US cents 2 due to weak US$).
