Blended yarn price falls in China, India

In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices declined US cent 1 a kg in the second week of September while 45s PC combed yarn prices rolled over on the week. 32s PV (65/35) were flat on the week. Blended yarn prices, mostly spun with cotton, declined in China while PV yarn prices were more stable given the moderation in cotton prices and firmness in PSF and VSF prices.

In India, the recovery in cotton prices supported blended yarn markets while polyester and viscose fibre prices moved flat on the week. 30s (65/35) PV warp yarns were stable in Indore market while PC 30s (52/48) prices in Ludhiana declined INR2 a kg on the week.

In Pakistan, PC and PV yarn prices stayed more stable, where cotton prices have been long in declining but have fallen sharply in previous week. But have stopped falling that week with benchmark KCA spot rate slightly recovering.
