In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices declined US cents 2 a kg in the first week of September while 45s PC combed yarn prices rolled over on the week. 32s PV (65/35) were stable during the week.
Blended spun yarn prices were down in China, with import prices however bottoming out during the week. This fall were directly related to fall in cotton prices and stable PSF cost. However, VSF prices were further elevated which provided support to PV yarn market.
In India, PV blended yarn prices moved in different direction with PV yarn at a stable level while PC yarn prices dropped sharply to reflect falling cotton prices. 30s (65/35) PV warp yarns were unchanged in Indore market while PC 30s (52/48) prices in Ludhiana declined sharply by INR10 a kg (down US cents 12).
In Pakistan, PC yarn prices remained very stable despite fall in yarn prices on the international market which encouraged textile makers to import more yarns from India in the past weeks. This have put more pressure on the yarn prices in Pakistan.
