In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices dropped US cents 2 a kg in the last week of March while 45s PC combed yarn prices were up US cents 2 a kg on the week.

Blended yarn prices were seen dropping in Asian markets as fibre prices receded somewhat. In China, PC yarn prices dropped but finer count yarn were slightly up.

In India, blended yarn prices moved in line with fibre prices in Ludhiana market. PV yarn prices remained steady while PC yarns were slightly cheaper given the recent drop in cotton prices and downward revision in PSF price in early March. Export markets remained weak and sellers were confronted with a rise of the INR, limiting decline in offers in US$ terms.

In Pakistan, PC and PV yarns prices stayed unchanged in the week, in line with the stable PSF and VSF prices. However, cotton prices were still firm, providing cost support to PC yarn markets.
