Blended yarn market remains range bound in Asia

In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices were up US cents 3 a kg in the second week of October while 45s PC combed yarn prices rolled over on the week. 32s PV (65/35) were steady during the week.

Blended yarn prices in China, particularly regular count of 32s PC, were up while others were steady at firm levels. Competition from foreign imported limited increase in yarn prices, which are at the same level or slightly higher than import in Yuan terms.

In Pakistan, relatively larger sales were reported for 31s PC and 24s PC yarns although weaker level of business activities was reported in the week on the Faisalabad and Karachi yarn markets due to holidays. Price offers were flat while few suppliers reduced in order to attract more buyers.

In India, with bank holidays that week, yarn prices did not move sharply. Blended yarn prices mostly rolled over. Export prices slightly rose in the week.
