Asian ASF prices remain stable

In China, medium-length staple fiber and cotton-type staple prices were down US cents 2 a kg in the last week of June due to weak Yuan.

Acrylic staple fiber markets were stable that week in Asia as prices mostly rolled over while fresh list prices from mainstream producers in China were issued at flat level. Upstream, acrylonitrile sentiment was stable to firm, lending limited support to ASF market.

Further, downstream yarn and fabric markets remained subdued, indicating soft demand. The buyers showed stronger intention to shut their machines given thin order intakes amid hotter days.

In India, ASF offers fell US cents 2 a kg due to weak INR during the week.

In Pakistan, 1.2D ASF prices were flat on the week.
