In the first week of November, Asian acrylonitrile marker climbed US$10 a ton CFR Far East Asia while Southeast Asia was steady at US$940-942 a ton.
In China, spots offers remained unchanged on the week.
Acrylonitrile prices rose in Asian markets as supplies were tightened by plant shutdown in China.
The Chinese market firmed up as domestic producer Shanghai Secco suffered an unexpected shutdown at its ACN plant on 1 November due to a power outage.
By that weekend, the plant was still in the process of restarting.
In US, climbing feedstock prices pushed spot acrylonitrile up while export prices marked their second hike in 2015 and this since late June.
Export prices were talked up US$25 a ton on the week.
European acrylonitrile markets were stable and demand was mixed.
Turkish election provided bullish sentiment while lower US prices provided competition.
