Asian acrylonitrile markers rolled over in the second week of October. In China, spots offers also remained unchanged.
Acrylonitrile prices were flat in Asian markets after plunging in the previous week. In China, almost all major producers offered flat this week.
Downstream demand was lukewarm as run rate in ASF producers was close to 100 per cent.
ABS market remained weak given lusterless demand, and prices dropped for some specs.
Acrylamide producers ran with reduced rates on poor end user demand and thin trades.
In US, export assessment plunged sharply as domestic demand waned and export opportunities were negligible. Export assessment tanked US$75 a ton FOB USG on the week.
In Europe, acrylonitrile spot price declined US$20 a ton CIF Mediterranean on the week following October propylene settlement down Euro110 a ton.
European prices also declined on weak demand and poor cost support. Acrylonitrile markets are likely to remain range-bound in coming week.
