Acrylonitrile prices remain steady across all regions

Acrylonitrile prices in Asian markets were range-bound in the first week of October underpinned by scarce global supply.

China’s PetroChina Jilin is planning to shut its ACN plant for maintenance in end-October which has 452,000 tons per year of production capacity.

In US, spot ACN prices were steady on the back of firm feedstock cost during the week.

In Europe, ACN spot prices were unchanged in the week while ACN contract settlers were in a process of negotiating the October contract price during the European Petrochemical Association (EPCA) meeting.
