Asian acrylonitrile prices were down US$25 a ton CFR South East in the fourth week of May. In China, offers for offshore cargoes rolled over while Indian ACN was stable during the week.
Acrylonitrile prices in Asian markets showed mixed trends amid sluggish demand with FEA rolling over and SEA prices declining. Demand from ASF markets continued to remain weak with suppliers running at 82%, with insipid demand. ABS held stable amid lukewarm trades while acrylamide offers were cut and suppliers lowering run rate to 70%.
European ACN prices weakened following falling US export pricing although supply was tight and looking for imports from the US. Spot prices were down US$10 a ton CIF Mediterranean on the week.
In US, ACN spot held steady amid muted activity. No export activity was heard while Brazilian cargoes were heading to US.
