Asian acrylonitrile marker the CFR Far East Asia moderated US$20 a ton while Southeast Asia fell US$35 a ton in the last week of December 2015.
In China, offers for offshore cargoes were unchanged at US$1,150-1,200 a ton.
Acrylonitrile spot markets in Asia remained snug, while buying interest was lusterless. Buyers bought hand to mouth volume, and were noncommittal to deep-sea cargoes due to long freight period.
In China, ACN suppliers slightly lowered their offers during the week. Downstream demand was insipid during the week as run rate at ASF producers remained high.
ABS prices picked up a bit on cost support, and producers ran at stable capacity. Acrylamide prices were pegged at a roll over, thus demand for ACN remained stable.
In US, export prices were flat on the week.
European acrylonitrile prices rolled over on the week.
