A trade delegation from the Netherlands will visit Bangladesh from February 10th to 13th, 2025, as part of the Netherlands Circular Textile Trade Mission. The delegation consists of 18 companies, including representatives from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, apparel brands, impact investors, and firms specializing in traceable solutions for circular fashion. The mission aims to foster stronger business-to-business partnerships within Bangladesh’s garment and textile industry.
This initiative is organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), with support from Export Partner, Clean and Unique, the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), and the Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE). It is the first initiative under the Netherlands Circular Textile Programme, a project focused on promoting sustainability in the textile industry
The trade mission seeks to bridge technology gaps and strengthen business ties between Bangladeshi manufacturers and Dutch companies. Through collaboration, capacity-building, and innovative solutions, the programme aims to promote circular practices across the textile supply chai and improve textile waste management and maximize recycling efforts. It also aims to enhance labour conditions and sustainable production methods.
As part of their visit, the delegation will take part in the 6th Sustainable Apparel Forum (SAF) 2025, organized by the Bangladesh Apparel Exchange. This forum will highlight Bangladesh’s role in responsible sourcing, addressing key industry challenges while encouraging innovation and knowledge exchange.
